New Harmony Indiana is a picture perfect community. It sits along the Wabash River and is part of Posey County. As of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 789 people. It was founded in 1814 by a gentleman named George Rapp. New Harmony is known as an Intellectual community because of the following people whom lived there; William Maclure, Marie Louise Duclos Fretageot, Thomas Say, Charles-Alexander Lesuerur, Joseph Neef, Frances Wright, and many others. New Harmony houses the Harmonie State Park which is located south of town on State Road 69.
New Harmony had their own school for over 200 years until 2012 when enrollment was down along with funding cuts which caused the children in the community to attend school in North Posey County.

Although New Harmony is small, it is mighty. The sense of community life felt in this town is strong. There are many businesses and shops located here from stores to restaurants. The town comes together for special events and celebrates a tight knit small community. One of the many joys of our business is being able to serve small communities like this one.
