Shelley Cleanup and Restoration

Originally named for the family that once had their own rail stop, Shelley is the most norther city of Bingham County.  Residents enjoy the greenbelt that goes along the snake river, and the small town feel of this happy community, but it has so much more to offer.  The town may be extremely small, but the rolling fields of potatoes have left a significant mark on the area.  Each year, Shelley hosts the annual Spud Day event, commemorating the beginning of harvest.  Thousands of people from all around come to participate in the potato themed activities, like potato sack races, potato picking contests, and even a beauty pageant picking the annual Miss Russet.
