Interstate 15 cuts through miles and miles of farmland and rolling hills with towns few and far between. Held in August, the fair may be the biggest event, but it’s not the only draw to the area. Just down the road there’s a resort that would make any family reunion jealous at Downata Hot Springs. Bring your tent or RV or rent a cabin. You can even rent a covered wagon! The hot springs are open year-round, and they have a pool, restaurant, and at night you can lay out and see the milky way since you’re far enough away from any city.
