Hampton is a city in southwestern Henry County, Georgia, United States. By 2018 the estimated population was 7,922. "Hampton" mailing addresses outside the city limits reach into rural parts of eastern Clayton County and northern Spalding County. It is a southeastern suburb in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The city was once known as "Bear Creek" or "Bear Creek Station", named after a creek that runs through the area. The town was moved, established and renamed in 1873 when the Central Railroad of Georgia was built approx. one mile to the east. It was named after Brig. General Wade Hampton, an American soldier in the Revolutionary War and War of 1812.
Hampton's 100+ year old Train Depot, listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, is frequently rented for weddings, birthday parties, and other events. The recently renovated downtown features sidewalks with custom engraved bricks and renovated facades and buildings. Hampton is home to over 5,000 people (except twice a year when the Atlanta Motor Speedway holds NASCAR races and it becomes the 8th largest city in Georgia!) Our annual events include the Yellow Pollen Street Festival in March, the Bear Creek Festival each September, along with the Christmas Tree Lighting and Christmas-at-Home parade with live reindeer.
Hampton, GA receives 49.1 inches of rainfall, on average, per year, so local residents are certainly not immune to needing water damage restoration. There are always a risk of flooding or mold damage to homes living in an area with such significant rainfall. The city of Hampton residents have the convenient, 24/7 access to water damage restoration.
While our town's temperature climate, humidity, and rainfall help prevent sporadic fires from happening. Hampton's brave first responders are quick to respond to also help prevent fire damage from taking place. But fires do still happen. Bringing in the trained technicians quickly after the fire first occurred will help prevent further damage, which speeds up the process in the fire damage restoration crew to begin their work restoring the property.
SERVPRO technicians are ready to mobilize when disaster strikes, and no disaster is too large (or small) for our team of professionals. We approach every water and fire emergency with a sense of urgency, to prevent continued damage to your structure.
