Euharlee, Ga is located in the southwest corner of Bartow County and occupies roughly 5.4 square miles. It is home to just under 4,300 people, totaling around 1,000 homes and is largely a rural area. Euharlee’s name is derived from the Cherokee language meaning “she laughs as she runs”, many believe this is in reference to the sound the Euharlee Creek makes.

The plant produces over 3,450 megawatts of electricity for Georgia Power customers. There are also a couple excellent schools in the Euharlee, Euharlee Elementary and Woodland Middle School, which are both part of the Bartow County School System. Along with these great schools there are several well maintained parks including Joe Cowan Park, Osborne Park and Frankie Harris Park. There are also several other notable places and landmarks in the area, such as the Euharlee Creek Covered Bridge (where seasonal festivals and events are regularly held), Euharlee Creek Outfitters, and the Euharlee Welcome Center & History Museum.
