Seaside is an unincorporated master-planned community on the Florida Panhandle in Walton County, Florida. It lies between Panama City Beach and Destin. Seaside is one of the first communities in the United States to be designed on the New Urbanism principles: the movement that promotes environmentally friendly designs by featuring walkable neighborhoods that contain a range of housing types and other buildings. The point of New Urbanism was to counter the ills associated with urban sprawl and post-WWII suburban development. Residents do not need to depend on cars within Seaside, and there is easy access to shared spaces.
Features include a noticeable city center, having most homes within a five-minute walk of the city center, and a large variety of housing types so that single people, older people, and people who have children can live and mix easily.
Seaside is often featured in presentations in architectural schools and in housing-industry magazines. Design professionals from across the United States visit Seaside to observe how well it works for both residents and visitors. On April 18, 2012, the American Institute of Architects’ Florida Chapter placed the community on its list of Florida Architecture: 100 Years. 100 Places as the Seaside – New Urbanism Township.

SERVPRO of FWB sent Richard to our home to clean all of our upholstered furniture and several rugs to get ready for an estate sale. He was so friendly and professional, put pads down on the floors to protect our new flooring, and cleaned everything efficiently and beautifully. We have several pieces of down furniture and hard to clean wool rugs but he cleaned them perfectly with no trouble. We have worked with SERVPRO in the past and they have always been superb, today was another hit out of the park and we will definitely be calling again in the future. Thank you SERVPRO for the great experience
Getting everything ready for the new baby didn't get us ready for her first big storm. She slept through it, but we were literally swimming from the hole in the roof. Glad nothing fell on us! Thanks for pumping out the water and getting us dry again. We tell all our neighbors about how you showed up so fast and how quickly you got to work, too. Thank you so much from a couple of new parents.
