The Smallest City in Connecticut

Located minutes from Bridgeport, New Haven and Waterbury, and within an hours drive to New York City, Derby might be one of the best situated small cities out there! Sitting at the confluence of the Housatonic and Naugatuck rivers and with an abundance of green space, Derby appeals to outdoor enthusiasts. Fishing, ice skating, hiking are available at Osbornedale State Park. Despite being the smallest city in Connecticut, Derby has a wide variety of locally owned restaurants - a few of which are award winning. 

The Four Seasons

One of our favorite things about Derby is that the really is no bad time of year (unless you "hate" the snow, in which case you may find yourself being a winter bird). The summers are mild and bring average rainfall, with the exception of the occasional hurricane every few years. This can cause structural and water damage to houses and businesses.  In the winter, with the first snowfall, our town on the rivers looks picture perfect.  Winter storms, however, can cause pipes to freeze and burst, causing flooding.  SERVPRO, a local restoration company, is available to mitigate water damage in Derby.
