Ouray Fire Damage and Water Damage
Ouray was established as a mining town in 1875 as part of the gold and silver rush. Mines in the area produced over one million ounces of gold by 1916. Nestled in southwestern Colorado in the San Juan mountains, Ouray offers scenic views, hot springs, hiking, learning about a miner's life, shopping, or experiencing wildlife, wildflowers, and waterfalls cascading down from mountains that peak at 12-13000 feet. Ouray's elevation sits at 7800 feet.
In addition to all of the activities available to visitors and residents, Ouray plans many events throughout the spring and summer. These include family movie nights, family game nights, and ski clinics. A Nordic Ski Clinic is scheduled for March 22nd at the Ouray North Corridor Nordic Trail at 10 a.m. A family game night is scheduled for March 25th at the Ouray Community Center from 6 to 8 p.m.
An Arts and Crafts night with a local artist is planned for April 15th at the Ouray Community Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Feel free to bring your materials or utilize the materials provided by the organizer. On April 19th, there will be an Easter egg hunt in the Hot Springs Pool from 2-3 p.m. Anyone planning to kayak on some of our rivers will be interested in learning about Kayak Rolling on April 22nd at the Hot Springs Pool. The event starts at 6 p.m!
