The land was originally used as a citrus fruit production until as recently as the early 1980’s. It is a somewhat newer established city where a fundamental part of the neighborhood was annexed into the city in 1986. The conversion from agriculture to the suburban neighborhood that exists today began at the start of 1984.
With a population of is about 6,694, Orangecrest is one of the best places to live in California. With the modern schools and public facilities many young families choose to make Orangecrest their home. A Census taken in 2000 determined 91% of the homes in the neighborhood are owner occupied. There is a nice selection of retail stores in the shopping centers located at the Trautwein Road and Van Buren Boulevard. Some popular stores located in the area such as Albertsons, Kohls, and Starbucks which are favorably close to the residents of Orangecrest.
Orangecrest is well served by public facilities and parks. One such park is Orange Terrance Community park. Orange Terrace Park is a 30-acre community park with a 24,000- square foot community center. There is also a 13,000-square foot library that offers wide variety of books, movies, and audio books for all ages. The library also offers 38 public computers and free wireless internet access. There is even a study room that can be reserved for up to two hours a day. For those with small children, the library offers story time Tuesdays, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s.

All in all, we had a great experience with SERVPRO of East Riverside who helped my husband and I with water and mold issues in an apartment building we manage. We would recommend them to anyone who is looking for damage restoration.
I don't normally use big name companies...I like "mom and pops", but I had a situation with a client's property that was growing scarier by the minute. We had a leak in the kitchen of an unknown source. They had a very reputable contractor come and look at the situation found the leak and quoted us almost $4000 to repair...which came with the big scary mold remediation and air testing. Of course the health of the tenants being top concern, I also needed to be cautious not to throw my client's money through some unnecessary air filtration system that just makes it disappear and does nothing for the air.
Sabena and Tom were recommended to me as a second opinion and Tom ran right out to take a look. Found that the leak was coming from the sink flange and not the slab....big difference. All I needed there as a simple fix from my standard old plumber. Tom also was able to calm the concerns of the tenants and myself of different types of mold. Yes we had mold as there had been multiple days of water sitting under the sink and the wood cabinets were wet. The mold that was happily growing there...although affecting the kids, was more like a pollen would be and not a poison as some molds can be. With nerves calmed, we took the next day for the plumber to fix the leak and Tom checked in on us to see if he could come in the afternoon and clean up the mold and dry everything out.
Saved my client $$$$ and I now am a huge SERVPRO fan! Especially Sabena and Tom! Their knowledge and customer service sold me and saved me.

Our condo got flooded from the unit above us and that evening my in laws recommended we call Tom and his company. They took extremely good care of us from setting up blowers and dehumidifiers, doing the demolition so the insurance could get an estimate of the extent of damage and repairs required, and then finding all the right people to get the job done. They packed up our stuff for us and brought it all back safely. Everything is back to normal and we couldn't be happier with the service they provided. We are so grateful to be in our home again, and have it be a little better than when we left.
