Ahwatukee Arizona is city located at the southern end of Phoenix at the base of South Mountain Park and Preserve.  This Preserve is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiast consisting of three mountain ranges and a large network of hiking, biking and horse riding trails. 

The origins of the name Ahwatukee have several theories of its original meaning, but all agree that the name’s roots are from the Crow language.  Some say it means “house of dreams”, others say it translates to “land on the other side of the hill”.
