Holt is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Tuscaloosa County with a population of roughly 3,400. When Holt first appeared on the census in 1950, it was known as the unincorporated community of Holt-Fox. It did not reappear on a census until 1990, and it was then known as the CDP of Holt.
