North Salt Lake is a city in Davis County, Utah. About 21,000 people live there. The city's official name is "The City of North Salt Lake," but most people call the town "North Salt Lake City" because of its shared boundary with Salt Lake City.
History
The town incorporated in 1946 as a means to ensure that residents living south of Highway 89/91 would have access to water after a developer purchased the privately owned McDuff and McNeil springs. The town got its name from the post office located near the railroad tracks. North Salt Lake celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021.
