A recent severe thunderstorm caused a ground water intrusion into the basement of our home. I called SERVPRO of Sussex County and they were on the scene within an hour and began extraction. The drying process they applied has us restored within a couple of days. Great job SERVPRO!
I should have listened to the warnings from the local radio announcer when he said to evacuate from the impending storm. Living on an inter-coastal waterway, I didn’t think I would ever have a problem with flooding.
Was I ever wrong! The water crept up into my yard quickly and with such force that I didn’t even have time to get my valuables up to the second floor. My little dog and I retreated to the second floor and waited the storm out which seemed like an eternity. When the rain finally subsided and I ventured to the first floor, I then had water throughout.
Of course my insurance agent was called and SERVPRO was recommended to help with the clean-up.
SERVPRO of Sussex County came right out and helped to dry out my home giving me guidance on how they could restore my valuables.
