Earlier this year, my fuel oil furnace blew up resulting in a major puffback issue that caused soot to come out of every vent in my house, with the main damage being in my basement (see before and after photos). All of my walls, carpet, belongings, furniture, etc. had been covered in soot, which was nearly impossible (and frustrating) for my family and I to clean on our own. Our other major issue was that we had no source of heating in the middle of winter. Servpro managed to literally fix all of our problems. They quickly came to assess the situation, provided us with air purifiers, a kerosene heater, and an electric heater for our basement. They made sure that we always had our kerosene heater and the extra gas jugs they provided filled, even in the rough winter weather. The cleanup that followed was incredibly thorough, and they made sure that all of our belongings were cleaned correctly on and off-site. We had a lot of clothing, blankets, toys, collectibles, etc. that needed cleaned, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Honestly, the house is cleaner now than it was when I originally purchased it. Our carpet ended up needing removed, which they also took care of quickly and safely prepared the bare floor for our future flooring installation. Most importantly, the crew members that participated in resolving this issue were extremely helpful, detailed, professional, personable, and overall fantastic to work with. They worked with my homeowner's insurance agent directly, which made that process much less of a headache. Mikey, Tori, Olivia, Sarah, Josh, Lina, Brody, Karen, Ryan, James, and all the other crew members from Servpro were beyond helpful. My family (and our cats) cannot thank Servpro enough for making sure our house was safe and comfortable to live in during this difficult time.
