When hurricane Florence made its way through Eastern North Carolina, it left a path of destruction and misfortune leaving many homes a terrible mess. As soon as the hurricane passed, we began working on dozens of homes that had water go up reaching their sub-floor, and some where the water went inside the home. Working 12 to 16-hour days all jobs that were taken on were completed. SERVPRO of Bath is no stranger to strenuous work and messes. Residential homes were not all that was done either. We accepted many commercial buildings that had storm water enter the building and affected every room, every content that was on the ground, and it all had to be thrown or torn out. These situations require specialized techniques and equipment in order to correctly handle the damage and made the structure safe for persons to be in. I am writing in regard to a recent experience with SERVPRO of Bath, NC. On July 7, my husband and I arrived home from dinner to find that a broken toilet shutoff valve was spraying water into our bathroom. We have no idea if it had been spraying for 2 hours or 2 minutes. I called State Farm insurance and they gave me SERVPRO as one of the choices to handle the water mitigation service. Since I had no previous experience with such an event, I made a quick choice. I am so glad that I did!
The State Farm agent said we would be contacted within an hour. Indeed, we were. John called us and said it would take about 2 hours for his crew to arrive because of you location. Rick, Woody, and Brennan arrived right on time and did the work in the amount of time promised. All of them were wonderful. They answered all of our many questions. They were patient and respectful of our property. They cleaned up after their work. They were careful no to cause additional damage. Each one was efficient and knowledgeable. They helped us relax in a very stressful situation.
The next day, Shane came to check progress. He was also very professional. He made adjustments and again asked if we had questions.
Angie called from the office on Monday morning to get additional information. She also was extremely courteous and friendly.
When Jonathan arrived on Tuesday to check and then remove your equipment, he was equally friendly, professional, respectful, and courteous.
In short, every single person we dealt with was great. Each was kind, professional, and patient. Each took their time to make sure we had everything we needed and all our questions were answered. I hope to never need your services again, but I will recommend you to anyone I know without hesitation.

The initial response to significant water damage (created by the freezing of our garage-attic water pipes that resulted in flooding of the garage attic and underneath garage areas) was greatly appreciated. Laura O'Brien, and John Baldwin, did an excellent job arranging for the SERVPRO crew to clean out the attic insulation and facilitate the drying out process of the area with their "larger than life" jet dryer. We plan to complete the restoration and repair on our own, but want to thank Laura, John, and the crew for handling the mitigation process promptly and efficiently. Good job everyone!!
