I recently had some work done by SERVPRO of Kirksville, and they did an outstanding job from start to finish. I was dealing with a leaking roof that had slowly allowed water into my home, which we suspected was causing mold issues and triggering allergies.
The team that came out was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They took the time to evaluate my home and clearly explained their step-by-step plan to address the mold concerns. The very next day, a crew of four arrived and got right to work. They thoroughly scrubbed all the ceilings and walls with a specialized solution to treat the mold. I was impressed by how meticulous they were, making sure to cover every area and even pointing out specific spots they treated.
In addition to treating the mold, they cleaned all of my carpeted floors and even worked on my furniture. They were incredibly efficient without ever rushing the job, clearly committed to doing it right. Once everything was cleaned, they set up dehumidifiers to dry the house and returned 24 hours later to pick up the equipment.
The crew and leadership were top-notch—friendly, respectful, and clearly experts in their field. When the job was done, the difference was immediate. The musty smell was completely gone, and my allergy symptoms disappeared. The best compliment came from my daughter, who said, “Dad, I don’t smell that old musky smell anymore. The house smells really fresh and clean.”

Reasonable price
I had a mold problem in my garage. 15 minutes after calling SERVPRO to see if they could take care of it, they sent Mike out to do the initial assessment. That was on a Friday afternoon. First thing Monday morning I had a line item estimate, with the total cost being very reasonable. A week later (which gave me the time I needed to clear out the garage), they came and got rid of all the mold. This did mean taking out all the drywall in the garage, but the mold had been spreading, so this was absolutely the right decision. They hepa vacuumed, they sprayed antimicrobial solution. They thoroughly cleaned my garage. They were efficient and expert from start to finish. I hope I never have another mold problem again. And given the clean-up done by SERVPRO, I don't think I will! But if something like this ever happens again, I will go to SERVPRO for help.
