In August of 2019, we came home from vacation to the sound of gushing water in the lower level. The ceiling was on the floor, and most of the floor, some walls and most of the furniture were saturated. It was 10:00pm on a Saturday night, and the SERVPRO crew was out to help within an hour. By the next morning - they had completed the removal and disposal of everything that was damaged, and within a few days had the lower level safely dried out. Returning from a extended vacation to find a refrigerator water line to the ice maker had been leaking causing flooring, sub flooring, sheetrock wall damage including 100 sqft of basement sheetrock ceiling damaged beyond repair was a nightmare. SERVPRO of Douglas & OtterTail Counties to the rescue !! They were able to step in and became the General Contractors to take over all the many details of restoring our house and our lives back to a sense if normalcy. And this was during the height of COVID when everything was difficult to coordinate because of supply storages etc etc. The SERVPRO team were all the things you’d expect and hope for - through, pleasant, prompt and responsive to our questions. They stayed on the “job” when new flooring was laid and appeared to be faulty, working with the retailer and manufacturer they searched for solutions. They found a combination and we now have a beautifully restored area. We especially appreciated the attentiveness of Shane Johnson and TJ Sibert who never “quit”. SERVPRO is highly recommended by the Vodegels.
Our insurance agent encouraged us to contact SERVPRO ASAP. They were able to communicate directly with our insurance company. A team showed up in less than 24 hours and got right to work assessing the extent of the damage. They had the equipment to find water in walls and floors. Everything was done efficiently and professionally. We were informed throughout the process by knowledgeable staff. Very happy with the whole process!
SERVPRO assisted us when our basement flooded. They were very responsive and knowledgeable. They checked in throughout the drying process to make sure their equipment was operating properly and if we had any questions or concerns. During the process they communicated well what the next step was going to be.
We experienced water damage in our basement from a recent storm. When power was restored, I called SERVPRO and a person answered. Within an hour, a Technician called back and was at our home in less than two hours from my initial call. They were extremely thorough when assessing the damage. Follow up was just as they promised and they even stopped on a Sunday to check progress. I can't say enough about how pleased we are with every step, from my initial call to several in-person visits to assure that everything was cleaned up and even another call from the manager, Ron, to make sure we were happy with their service. Scenic View campground used SERVPRO for cleaning after a burst frozen water pipe in the basement of our 4 bedroom cabin in February. Staff arranged the prompt service and a awesome job was done, there were no residual water stains and the carpet looks like new. I received a call at 4:00 am that no building owner wants to receive... there was water running out of a door to an office complex. I got to the property right away and was at a loss for words. My first thought was that I needed to get the situation under control and my next thought was that I don't know how to do that. I called the emergency line for SERVPRO and a nice lady took my info and some quick details. Shortly later, a gentleman that works for SERVPRO in Alexandria called me back and said he would be there shortly. By 8:00 am, there were at least 6 trucks and a dozen people going to work to mitigate my loss. For that, I will forever be grateful to Trevor and his crew. They handled everything going forward and made the process simple. I was handed off a few times to different contact people whom I had to bring up to speed on the situation, but that was a minor inconvenience in the big picture. Thanks SERVPRO. You turned a nightmare into something that was way more manageable than what I expected.
Very happy with all work done to restore our house from a broken water line. Truly came out "LIKE NOTHING EVER HAPPENED" and even better than before too.
We were on a time crunch for water mitigation and when we didn't know what to do we called the only person we could think of to get advice. Well, we got more than advice. Within an hour Trevor and his team equipped us with fans, dehumidifiers, and heaters to dry out our sheeting for spray foam for our new build. OUR STORY
SERVPRO of Douglas & Otter Tail Counties is your local go to Emergency Water and Fire Restoration company. Independently owned by Trevor Rossum since 2016, we are committed to being a reliable and skilled partner to help family and businesses in the community recover.
Before becoming a business owner, Trevor sold healthcare software. He learned about SERVPRO at a tradeshow as a vendor. While at the tradeshow, he knew he wanted to become involved with the restoration industry and decided to shift his focus to owning a business and helping people in times of need. When Trevor is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, attending his two kids' sporting events, and golfing!
