About Us

SERVPRO of Miami Beach is the transparent alternative in South Florida's property restoration (mold, water, fire, specialty cleaning) industry. The owner, Joe Hrbek, began his career as a journalist, and is deeply committed to openness, in addition to honest results. "There's so much funny business in this industry. South Florida could be leading the pack in funny business," Hrbek said. "We will be successful by giving people honest performance in a transparent, straightforward manner that is deferential and respectful." SERVPRO of Miami Beach has implemented specific internal policies that ensure transparency for its customers.  As one example, the company strongly supports Florida statute that calls for a separation between Mold Assessors and Mold Remediators. To put it another way, SERVPRO of Miami Beach encourages mold clients to contract the services of an independent mold assessor on jobs for which we are performing remediation. "It's unbelievable to me, but there are still companies out there who are doing the assessments and the remediation projects," Hrbek said.  This is a huge conflict of interest. It basically says to the customer, 'we don't trust someone else to come in and take a look at our work,'" he said. Additionally, SERVPRO of Miami Beach commits to the transparency of Xactimate pricing. "We don't want to leave our customers hanging with egregious emergency service bills, and the standard pricing mechanism in our industry is the Xactimate price list.  We commit to using it on emergency service projects."
