Demil and his fantastic staff worked with me on 2 separate occasions in the past year due to water damage in our business.
Luckily, they made an inconvenient situation a lot more bearable.
Everyone we dealt with on location and over the phone was very helpful.
Demil came to the location to quickly assess the situation, answered all of my 100,000 questions - and was extremely clear in explaining the restoration process in our office.
Dealing with insurance can be a pain, but SERVPRO walked me through my restoration options and made the reimbursement extremely easy.
The equipment worked great and within a few days, the moisture from the floor/drywall was completely gone.
When they came back to retrieve the dehumidifier units as planned, the moisture reading was still too high, and they left the machines an extra day without any penalty.

They were very reasonable on their pricing, especially after I checked around with other alternatives, and their crew who serviced me at my home were fantastic.
Each SERVPRO is independently owned and operated as it's a franchise, so my review is specifically for SERVPRO of Mar Vista and it's owner Demil who was a pleasure to deal with. We had a major plumbing flood and Demil's crew explained the whole process in an intelligent and understandable way. I always felt like I could trust them which was a big relief when I had to make a quick decision with which vendor to go with as the water damage would only get worse the longer I took to have it taken care of. I highly recommend them and wished that more companies had the integrity and honesty.
We recently dealt with SERVPRO of Mar Vista and had an exceptional experience. Demil contacted us right away (although on a Sunday), explained the procedures and then had members of his team at our home promptly. Belbra handled questions and paperwork flawlessly and could not have been more helpful or sensitive to the stress we were under. Jennifer and Claudio arrived when scheduled, immediately assessed the situation and then with precision, efficiency, speed and great care for our home set up their machines and explained what was being done and what the protocol was for after they left. Thereafter, communications with the company were superb and their interaction with all of the other involved companies, including our insurance company, were seamless. Everyone was organized, without ego or focus on "what was good for them" and appeared to have but one concern -- and that was for what was best for the customers -- my wife and me. Managing commercial buildings all over Los Angeles, I have a handful of companies that I trust to work with and SERVPRO of Mar Vista will definitely be my preferred vendor from here on out. Phenomenal work, integrity, and response time.
I had a mold company come out to my house and tell me they were going to have to rip out an entire bathroom, take out the redwood subflooring and do $20,000 worth of work on the crawlspace under my house.
SERVPRO cleared the mold, sanded down the issues with the redwood water damage, and was able to dry out the tile in the bathroom from below without ripping out my bathroom.

Our experience with SERVPRO of Mar Vista was outstanding. They really came through for us during a trying time. Our home was affected by the Woolsey fire, and they proved to be friendly, responsive and, most important, honest brokers. I had heard horror stories of other companies taking advantage of vulnerable homeowners post-fire (i.e. demanding payment up front, not providing estimates or scopes of work). But Demil and team were transparent and extremely patient while we went through the clean up process. I highly recommend and would use them again!
