In 2012, after 35 years in the construction and painting/finishes business, Tom and Liselotte Schmidt decided to start something new and use their experience and passion for helping others by joining the Restoration Industry.
Tom and Liselotte specialized in professional, high quality finishes in painting and texturing. Tom is a licensed contractor and is ranked in the top 18% out of 336,931 California Licensed contractors, with over 40 years of experience. Liselotte has a great eye for design and refinishing that is still highly sought after. She will often help others in re-decorating and finished their homes especially after they have experienced a Water or Fire loss in their home.
When they originally opened SERVPRO of East Riverside City in 2012 they started small with one technician, their son Christopher, and daughter-in-law Alexandra. Christopher and Alexandra have since opened their own SERVPRO in West Riverside. Liselotte has taken a step back from the day to day duties of running a business to spend more time with her beloved grandchildren, while Tom is still very active; enjoying being in the field. The office has now expanded, to have a full time Estimator, Joshua Soto, and Tom’s sister, Sabena Schmidt, is the Office Manager and Field Marketer who has many years of management and customer service experience.
With ongoing training from SERVPRO’s Corporate Training Facility as well as regular IICRC Industry Certifications, the Schmidt's have made sure that all of their staff is equipped with the knowledge to restore your property.
Committed to Our Community:
Although many of our staff does not live in Riverside Country, they all enjoy being a big part of the community. We have been a part of the Riverside Chamber of Commerce since opening in 2012 and continue to attend regular meetings and events, such as the yearly Chamber of Commerce Annual Golf Tournament. Also, proud to be partnered with IE Commuter, an organization focused in the IE to support Ride Share and help reduce traffic, your daily commute and the effect on our environment. Most recently we have partnered with Mary S. Roberts non-profit Pet Adoption Center and look forward to their annual Walk with The Animals fundraising event. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for more information on these organizations and to see upcoming events.
So what really sets SERVPRO of East Riverside City apart from other restoration companies?
Although each SERVPRO is individually owned and operated, each one must follow specific operating guidelines set forth by SERVPRO Corporate, which means there is a check-and-balance in place, providing quality work for a fair price is our goal.
IICRC guidelines recommend “in-place drying” when possible. We strive to put the customer first by drying in place as much as possible, which is the safest way to go and will reduce the cost of restoration.
The IICRC standard for drying is 3-5 days. SERVPRO works to meet that standard for every job, no matter what the cause. Yet, many mitigation companies are charging for 10 days or longer! Why? True, drying for only 3-5 days means a lot less money on each project, but SERVPRO thinks it’s better to put our customers before our pocketbooks.
In addition, the 2018 Entrepreneur Magazine list of Top 500 Franchises ranked SERVPRO as #12!
We hope you never have to call a restoration company, but if you do, we hope you’ll give SERVPRO of East Riverside City a call.
