We returned home after a few hours to the sound of water running in the basement. (Pex joint At rear hose bib separated) Being typical home owners we immediately started damage control, shutting off the water supply, getting the shop vac out, trying to move items, and even remove some carpet to see how bad the damage was. Within a short time we realized water had spread under the walls and soaked carpet and drywall in every room of the basement. As a homeowner we just didn’t have the industrial tools to handle this big of a situation.
