SORRY, this is LONG past due. The Best PEOPLE & COMPANY we dealt with throughout our ordeal. Came home on 1/5/2021 after visiting our grandchildren in VA for the Holiday, to a house with soaking wet carpets and mold growing up the walls. We went to a local hotel for the night and called ServPro the next morning. They were there within an hour to see our issue. David called in reinforcements and they packed up and removed at least 85% of our items by the end of the day. They also started drying out the floors & walls. They returned the next day to finish getting the rest of our belongings. They also ripped up & removed the carpets. They left the dryers in the house & checked on them for 8 or 9 days. They took all of our belongings to a storage area of theirs. It took 14 months during Covid times to finally finish redoing the entire house. For which ServPro kept our belongings the entire time. During that time frame they also had an employee helping us go through our belongings to clean out mold infested items that couldn’t be safely cleaned of the mold, due to my mold allergy & asthma. When it was time to get our belongings back, we learned St. John’s homeowners insurance company went belly up and wouldn’t be paying the storage bill. The owner agreed to us paying a portion of the cost and he would consider the debt paid in full. We showed up with a UHaul truck to retrieve our belongings and take them to VA. The ServPro team loaded everything into the truck. EVERY employee was considerate & respectful in every encounter we had with them. Even after we were done doing business with them, they still continued to be helpful, respectful, & considerate. Our entire UHaul truck was stolen and completely cleaned out in Fayetteville NC on our way to VA. ServPro assisted us with whatever pictures they had of our stolen belongings. As for any other company we dealt with from, St. John’s Insurance Co, Mark Greene LLC contractor in Rockledge, Tru by Hilton in Fayetteville NC, and the Fayetteville Police Department all get possibly 1 star. This is the second time I’ve used ServPro. I called them in 2019 and now in 2025. My first call that I made with my flood damage was Servpro and then my homeowners insurance. The Remediator’s were professional, clean with remediation, nice, kept me informed, and thoroughly understood that this was a very emotional time. The office staff provided updates. Kept me informed of visit times and arranged when I needed a different time. Servpro is established with my insurance company. While I never want to need them again, ServePro will always be my first call.
