In 1901 a railroad line was built from Wisconsin Rapids to Marshfield. A couple of years later in 1903 thirty-eight passenger trains stopped daily in Marshfield. A short time after that Marshfield was nicknamed, “Hub City”.
Marshfield is not only the largest city in Wood County. But known for its world-class health care and home to the World’s Largest Round Barn that is a common tourist attraction.
Wisconsin Rapids formerly named, “Adahwahgam” which meant “two-sided rapids”, was a community that was divided into two parts due to the Wisconsin River running directly between each community.
Its proximity to the Wisconsin River provided a means of transportation along with an abundance of water to become a leader in the paper industry. To this day there are many communities along the Wisconsin River that still are leaders in the paper industry. Along with paper Wisconsin Rapids is known nationwide as being a leader in the cranberry industry as well.

I would give SERVPRO 10 stars if I could! We had a dishwasher install gone wrong and our finished basement had significant water damage. I called SERVPRO and they were here the next day to dry everything out. They were extremely responsive and came every single day to check on the drying process in the kitchen and basement. They were extremely flexible with scheduling the repairs. Looking at the finished project, you’d never know we had any sort of damage at all. All of the staff is very professional and friendly. If you have water damage, they are the ones to call!!
They are simply the best mitigation / restoration company in Central Wisconsin and it isn't even close. I have dealt with every company in Central Wisconsin many times as an adjuster and nobody provides the spot on services that SERVPRO of Stevens Point, Wausau, and Marshfield does. They are a one stop shop that gets jobs done. The work on my property was great! In our area they are the only serious choice when it comes to insurance claim work.
I have never had a company treat me as well as SERVPRO. I had frozen pipes last winter and the crew went above and beyond to make my spare bedroom and laundry room look so much better than it did before the damage. The crew didn't hesitate to move furniture to different rooms when asked. I am so pleased, I tell everyone about SERVPRO. They are DEFFINATELY a "class act"!!!
