Meet Our Team

Douglas Scott is the proud co-owner of SERVPRO of Elk Grove, a position he shares with his wife, Kelsey, since they took over the franchise in 2014. Doug plays an instrumental role in overseeing large loss jobs, including responding to major catastrophic events like wildfires and hurricanes. He was involved in the restoration efforts following the Camp Fire in Northern California in 2018. Beyond his hands-on work with disaster recovery, Doug is always planning for the future, focusing on the growth and success of the company.

Doug holds several certifications, including Lead Paint Abatement from the EPA and various certifications from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), such as Water Damage Restoration, Fire & Smoke Restoration, and Applied Structural Drying. His background includes five years of service as a military police officer in the U.S. Army, including a fifteen-month tour in Baghdad. Doug later pursued business studies at Central Texas College, honing his leadership, management, and networking skills.

When he's not working, Doug enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, fishing, and camping with his five children. His family motivates him to strive for excellence, both in the business world and as a parent. Doug believes in empowering his team members to take ownership of their roles and grow independently, which he believes is key to the company’s ongoing success.

As co-owner of SERVPRO of Elk Grove, Kelsey Scott has worked alongside her husband, Douglas, since 2014. Kelsey is responsible for a range of duties, including managing large loss restoration projects during disaster responses and overseeing the company’s financials, including daily transactions and final job billing. She also leads employee training initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement by identifying areas where additional skills or education are needed.

Kelsey’s qualifications include certifications as a Licensed General Contractor, as well as IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration and Fire & Smoke Restoration. She is also a Bio-Recovery Technician, certified by the American Bio-Recovery Association (ABRA). Before joining SERVPRO, Kelsey worked as a Veterinary Technician in an Emergency and Critical Care unit, showcasing her long-standing compassion for animals. Her love for horses, which began at age two, continues to be a significant part of her life.

Outside of her professional role, Kelsey enjoys spending time camping with her husband and five children. She is motivated by the opportunity to empower others, particularly her daughters, by showing them that women can thrive in male-dominated fields. Kelsey is passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences, addressing client concerns with empathy, and ensuring her team is equipped to make sound decisions while providing guidance when necessary.

Terron Buggs serves as a Crew Chief at SERVPRO of Elk Grove, having been with the organization since 2020. He has successfully completed our comprehensive SERVPRO Employee Certification Training Program, which covers advanced cleaning and restoration methodologies, proficient use of cutting-edge equipment, and emphasizes the importance of listening skills and impeccable customer service standards. Additionally, Terron holds prestigious certifications from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) as a Water Restoration Technician and Fire and Smoke Restoration Technician. His expertise also extends to the use of DocuSketch. Renowned within our establishment for his unwavering dedication and meticulous attention to detail, Terron consistently upholds a strong work ethic, embodying the ethos of excellence synonymous with our organization.

Arturo is the General Manager at SERVPRO of Elk Grove, where he has been a part of the team since January 2019. He has earned certifications from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) in Water Restoration, Fire Restoration, and Biohazard Trauma and Cleanup. Arturo started his career as a production technician and quickly moved up to production manager, eventually taking on his current role as General Manager.

In his previous position, Arturo managed various responsibilities, such as communicating with adjusters and customers, obtaining project approvals, assigning jobs to crew chiefs and technicians, and overseeing project progress. He also took charge of team training to ensure that everyone was on the same page regarding their duties. Arturo’s goal is to continue empowering his team to reach new levels of success and performance.

Before transitioning into the restoration industry, Arturo worked as a server and caregiver for elderly residents, where he honed his skills in communication and customer service. Outside of work, Arturo enjoys sketching monochrome portraits, boxing (a sport he has competed in since age 11), and playing the piano. Arturo is passionate about helping his team develop and ensuring customers have a smooth and reassuring experience during the restoration process.

As the Office Manager at SERVPRO of Elk Grove, Kimmy joined the team in September 2020. She plays a pivotal role in managing office operations and leading the administrative team to ensure smooth daily functions and a high level of customer satisfaction. Kimmy is responsible for job file management, billing, and ensuring that customers and insurance companies stay updated on outstanding payments.

Kimmy is IICRC certified in Water Damage Restoration, bringing strong industry knowledge to her role. Before working at SERVPRO, she served as a marketing coordinator for a digital signage company, where she honed her marketing skills. Kimmy earned a B.S. in Business Administration from Sonoma State University and an M.S. in Advertising & Marketing from the University of Hull in England.

Outside of work, Kimmy enjoys dancing, painting, reading, and traveling. She is driven by the support of her family and thrives on the opportunity to engage in creative projects that help grow the company. Kimmy is dedicated to ensuring that customers are aware of SERVPRO’s services and that they have a seamless and positive experience from start to finish.

Stonewall is one of our Estimators at SERVPRO of Elk Grove working with us since August 2019. As an estimator, his role consists of inspecting the property for both self-pay and insurance claimed jobs and develops a recommended scope of work and educates the customer on the process. Furthermore, he reviews the job files to create itemized estimates for customers and insurances based on the work performed. Prior to working with us, Stonewall worked for a large hardware store for many years. He is proficient in various types of mitigation and restoration work and certified in electric work and forklift machinery usage. When he is not working, he enjoys working with cars such as engines, motorcycles, and his jeep; outdoor activities such as camping, snowboarding, skateboarding, and any extreme sport; but most importantly, spending time with his daughter. Stonewall’s daughter is a huge influence in his life, and inspires him to be a better person, both as a father figure and as a friend. He is also inspired to work hard daily, putting extra effort in his work knowing a job is done better. As he works, he is very meticulous and conducts each job carefully. His motivation is the owners. He wants to contribute his part to help make the business grow, he wants to put in the extra effort to show them that he is there to work hard for them. While working here, Stonewall contributes to the customer experience through customer communication from start to finish. From easing the customer’s stress from their recent disaster, to clearly identifying what our company needs to perform in order to get the work done that day.

Stanley is one of the Estimators at SERVPRO of Elk Grove, joining the team in 2017. In his role, he performs initial inspections for both self-pay and insurance-claimed jobs, providing property sketches of affected areas to insurance companies, establishing relationships with customers, and educating them on the restoration process. Stanley drafts price estimates for each project, analyzing labor, materials, and time requirements, while also collaborating with customers on any desired upgrades or changes to their estimates and managing final billing. He holds certifications from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) in Water Removal, Fire Restoration, and Trauma & Crime Scene. Prior to joining the team, Stanley worked as a floor lead in an electronic warehouse and served in the United States Navy. Outside of work, he enjoys building computers, working on cars, and spending time with his children. Stanley is motivated by the opportunity to help customers, finding satisfaction in ensuring their needs are met. He contributes to the customer experience by providing personalized service and support during their time of need.

David is the Production Manager at SERVPRO of Elk Grove, where he oversees communication with customers and adjusters via phone and email, manages job progress, and ensures customer concerns or complaints are addressed promptly. He coordinates tasks for technicians, guides them throughout projects, enforces safety procedures on-site, handles job documentation, and is responsible for vehicle maintenance. David joined the team in May 2019 and holds certifications from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) in Water Restoration and Trauma and Crime Scene. Before working with SERVPRO, David worked at a ski resort. Outside of work, he enjoys snowboarding, spending time with his family, and tackling house projects. David is motivated by his desire to succeed in every job he manages, with his family and children serving as his inspiration. He enhances the customer experience by providing clear walk-throughs of the restoration process, answering any questions, and ensuring customers feel informed and supported.
