Why Choose SERVPRO for HVAC and Air Vent Service?

A healthy living environment starts with clean air. If the air coming out of your vents smells musty, or your air vents look dirty, it’s probably time for an HVAC and air duct cleaning from SERVPRO®.

Each time your HVAC system circulates, your air ducts collect dust, dirt, and other airborne particulates that were missed by the air filter. In just one year, a typical home can collect more than 40 pounds of dirt, dust, and particles. Everyday housecleaning can get most of it, but it takes a professional cleaning service like SERVPRO to clean air ducts effectively.

Schedule a routine air duct cleaning if:

  • You have pets living in your home.
  • You have allergies or asthma.
  • You smoke.
  • Your home has suffered fire or smoke damage
  • Your home has been renovated or is being remodeled.

Benefits of clean air ducts:

  • Improved indoor air quality (reduced bacteria, allergens, pet dander, etc.).
  • Increased energy efficiency (clogged vents make your HVAC system work harder).
  • Longer life for your HVAC system.

SERVPRO of East Onondaga County's uniquely trained technicians follow industry standards for air duct cleaning services as defined by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA).

We use specialized equipment and proprietary products to clean and sanitize the mechanical components of your HVAC duct and air duct system while controlling the airflow in the healthiest way possible during the duct cleaning process.

Things You Should Know about HVAC & Air Duct Cleaning

First, system access to the duct interiors should be made through existing openings. This could be via:

  • Return grills.
  • Duct end caps.
  • Existing service openings.

Your SERVPRO technician will often begin by breaking contaminants loose from your system, either by hand or using a vacuum, to agitate dirt and dust. This is a basic, but important step in the HVAC cleaning process.

SERVPRO uses a variety of tools and equipment. It might be mounted on a truck, or they may use portable vacuums. Chemicals may also be used to help sanitize, disinfect, and deodorize air ducts.

About Us

Invigorated by new ownership in 2020, SERVPRO of East Onondaga County anticipates many years of serving the Greater Syracuse area and the towns, villages, and hamlets to the east. Residential and business property owners in the region benefited from the expertise of SERVPRO’s highly qualified managers and technicians since 1993. They will enjoy continuity as familiar individuals remain in key positions under fresh leadership.

The eastern area of Onondaga county historically served as a significant trade and travel crossroads for more than the past two hundred years. Turnpikes based on the European model and often operated as toll roads joined by canals proved essential to move people and goods from the Atlantic coast into the interior. Many of the municipalities east of Syracuse were settled and incorporated long before the city, with towns like Manlius on the Cherry Valley Turnpike and Seneca Turnpikes considered important trade centers in the late 1700s. Once the Erie Canal and branch waterways began construction after 1817, places like Fayetteville gained prominence.

Railways supplanted the turnpikes and canals, and modern Syracuse, risen from former swampland, now is at the intersection of Interstates 81 and 90, with an airport that is a hub in the area. The growth and change of the past continue in Eastern Onondaga county. Our owner Timothy Skov is committed to supporting home and business owners in our dynamic region of New York State when disaster strikes.

What sets SERVPRO of Eastern Onondaga apart from other property damage recovery companies? Two distinct yet interrelated investments are critical to our provision of premier services to residential and commercial customers:

Manager and Technician Training and Certification

SERVPRO of Eastern Onondaga project leads and workers complete training from the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) to ensure adherence to best practices and resulting in successful outcomes.

Purchase and Upgrade of Proven and Innovative Disaster Recovery Equipment

We continuously seek out cutting edge products, tools, and technologies to enable our crews to deliver fast and efficient mitigation, remediation, and restoration of water, fire, storm, mold, and biohazard damage.
