SERVPRO® of Columbia & Greene Counties was recently referred by a local insurance broker to assist with a 3-story commercial and residential building that had suffered significant fire and water damage due to another fire in an adjacent building located in Hudson.
Our commercial damage project managers were onsite immediately for assessments of the commercial space downstairs and the residential units upstairs. Each unit had it's own tenant and belongings to inventory, evaluate what could be cleaned and restored and those that were non-salvageable, utilizing their renter's insurance to assist. Separately, we worked side-by-side with the building owner to strategize a comprehensive plan of our restoration services to stabilize the building, help mitigate smoke and soot and begin the extensive deep-cleaning of the structure itself.
While the structure itself had been compromised greatly in some areas, SERVPRO of Columbia & Greene Counties partnered with the building department, local municipalities and engineers to ensure safety at all costs while achieving ideal restoration results for the building owner to be ready to receive occupants again.
