After the source of the odor is removed, it’s important to thoroughly clean surfaces to deodorize them effectively. If not properly cleaned, tiny particles of the odor-causing residues will continue to smell.

Recreate the Conditions That Caused Odor Penetration

We apply deodorizer in a method similar to how the odor-causing substances originally penetrated a surface. If smoke created the smell, for instance, deodorizing smoke or fog might be most effective.

All disaster restoration companies are independently owned so when writing a review you should list the franchise who did the service not just SERVPRO in general some of us who have been in disaster restoration for many years do a great job and are worth calling. I for example have used the SERVPRO of Washington Woolwich numerous times for basement floodings. I feel like not enough people give credit where it’s due. I would highly recommend this company and I will continue to be a customer of theirs.

My insurance adjuster referred me to the SERVPRO franchise owned by Scott O Donnell off of rte 47 in Westville. I cannot say enough good about the work he and his men did for me. They were professional and helpful, got in and did the work without wasting any time. Came back daily as promised to check the drying progress and did not leave their equipment any longer than absolutely necessary. They kept me informed of what they were doing and did not remove or take anything to the dump that was not authorized by me first. The owner went toe to toe with the insurance company to make sure they paid for mold damage that was discovered when he removed wet insulation. He took photos of the damage to prove what needed to be done. The crew was consistently monitor their equipment and logging everything that happened. After three water and sewer disasters in a couple of weeks, I was very happy to deal with a professional outfit that worked as hard as they work. And they worked around my schedule so it was done at my convenience. Not one minute was wasted and I have no complaints. People that had bad experiences with other franchises should not assume they are all bad. Scott and his men were the best I could have ever hoped for to clean up my house so I could have it properly repaired. I would highly recommend this SERVPRO franchise to anyone who needs clean up after a disaster in their home.
