We were on vacation when a water line broke and the water flooded our finished basement. Called ServPro and they responded with such proficiency and professionalism that they had removed the water and mold before we got home. Dealing with them over the phone, they kept us informed with an understanding demeanor. Upon getting back home it was heart breaking to see the damage done, but uplifting to have it dry, clean, organized and ready to be put back together. We live on Coldwater lake and recently with heavy rains and elevated lake has water come into our house. We called first thing Monday and Lisa arrived within 2 hours. This was our first water damage experience and she came in a assured us immediately we would be okay and then walked through the house and explained what needed to be done and took measurements of moisture on the walls and verified no insulation damage. From there she guided us and offered their services or offered us directions to clean the damage ourself. We felt comfortable from her guidance we could manage. She offered a follow up test and came back and retested and verified we were making progress. We are continuing to work through the situation. Honestly this is emotionally draining but knowing she will come back again to give us a status update on Monday is reassuring. The key her is she could have upsold us on something we were capable of doing our self and professionally guided us down the correct path and was unwilling to bill us for her time. So we experienced a kitchen fire and the good news is we are all ok and the house didn’t burn down. The better news is we hired the team at ServPro to help with restoration. We live in a log home so getting the smell out was not easy but ServPro was up for the challenge. From the day they arrived until the day they departed the team was professional, supportive and a lot of fun. Teri was the lead on our job and her communication was spot on. She never missed a beat and was always lending a hand to her hard working team of Sarah, Samantha and Michelle. Which by the way, went way above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for during the entire process. I’ve never seen my house so clean and smelling so fresh after the hard work the girls did cleaning absolutely everything with a thoughtful touch. Lastly I would like to thank the owners Aaron and Fred, for scaling a ladder 21 feet to personally clean our log ceiling and the beams. They worked late into the evening to ensure a job well done. Serve pro did a wonderful job cleaning our crawl space of rodent damage. They protected our carpet and wood floor with coverage and kept the dirt to a minimum. If help is ever needed again we will definitely call them.
