Meet Our Team

Nathan Norton is the VP of Operations for Team Northen / Maddux. With 10 years at SERVPRO and over 20 years of experience in construction and maintenance, Nathan brings unmatched expertise to restoration leadership. He holds prestigious certifications as an IICRC Master Water Restorer, Master Fire Restorer, Master Textile Restorer, and is also an IICRC Trauma/Crime Scene Technician. Having already accomplished most of his bucket list goals, Nathan now looks forward to the ultimate milestone—retirement.

Melissa Lavender is the Regional Administrative Director for Team Northen / Maddux. She has been with SERVPRO for 9 years, bringing strong leadership and expertise in administration and operations. Melissa holds certifications in IICRC, WRT, and Xactimate, which equip her to support both teams and clients with precision and efficiency. At the top of her bucket list? To go on a cruise and enjoy some well-deserved time at sea.

Jansen Nix is the Director of Production for the Team Northen / Maddux. He has been with SERVPRO for three years and brings over 15 years of experience in the restoration industry. Jansen holds certifications in Water, Fire, Mold, and Biohazard remediation, giving him the expertise to lead complex projects with precision and care. At the top of his bucket list? To travel to Iceland to see the Northern Lights—and someday own a hotdog cart, blending his love of adventure with a fun personal dream.

Rick Northen has been a SERVPRO Owner since 2013. With a strong background in business and sales, he applies his experience and expertise- leading his team to success in the restoration industry. His focus on customer service, team development, and operational excellence has been key to the company’s growth and success.

Outside of work, Rick enjoys hunting, spending time outdoors, and following sports. Go Dawgs!

Brent Maddux has been a SERVPRO Owner since May 2019. With a strong background in roofing, he transitioned into the restoration industry to expand his expertise and provide comprehensive solutions for property owners. His leadership is centered on delivering exceptional service, building strong teams, and ensuring customers receive the highest level of care during challenging times.

Outside of SERVPRO, Brent values time with his family and enjoys following a variety of sports. He will always be "for the A" and a Dawg at heart!

David, our Production Manager has been with SERVPRO for over 19 years. In 2002 David joined the company as a Production Crew Chief, then held the position of Sales Manager for several years before his current position. David is responsible for all insurance claim mediation between our customers and their insurance provider and specializes in mold remediation. David enjoys being able to advise our customers during a difficult situation by being an information resource for their restoration and insurance concerns. David is certified for work involving lead abatement by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division with the Lead-Based Paint Certification. David is also certified by CADSC Inc. as a Crime & Trauma Scene bio recovery Technician. Certifications held by David with The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification include: Water Damage Restoration, Applied Structural Drying, Applied Microbial Remediation and Fire and Smoke Restoration.

Hailey is one of our Office Administrators. Hailey has been with the company since August 2021. She performs all office administrative tasks related to customer calls, job management and tracking, scheduling of jobs, and customer satisfaction activities. Performs general office duties, such as drafting correspondence, filing, and creating reports.

In her free time, Hailey likes to watch TV and cook for her family.

Stanton is one of our Loss Coordinators. Stanton has been with us at SERVPRO of Athens since 2015. He holds many IICRC certificates that includes WRT, ASD, and CCT. As a Loss Coordinator, he provides estimates to customers for water damage restoration. His favorite thing to do within the company is provide exceptional customer service.

During his free time, he loves to spend time with his family and his dogs at home.

Brad is the Restoration Supervisor for SERVPRO of Athens. With 8 years of restoration experience, and 3 years with SERVPRO, Brad uses his experience and training to lead our team and ensure our standards are met each and every day. Brad has his WRT and fire, odor trauma and mold certifications as well. When he is not out with our crews, you can find him in his happy place- on the water fishing.

Anthony, our Production Manager has been with SERVPRO for over 4 years. With 12 years of of restoration, reconstruction, packout and lead and abestos abatement experience, he brings immense value to the team members that he leads. Additionally, he holds WRT, ASD, FSRT, ARMT and ORT certifications as well as training with NOISH, OSHA and NFPA training. When he isn't working, Anthony enjoys traveling and attending heavy metal concerts.

Austin has served as a Restoration Technician for over 1 year- bringing a "can do" attitude to our crew. When he is not providing restoration services, you can find him working on personal projects at home or planning to achieve his bucket list top pick- purchasing a horse.

Bradley is a Restoration Supervisor for SERVPRO Team Athens. He has served with Team Northen/Maddux for over 1 year and is certified in water damage restoration. Showing exceptional leadership, and a true desire to continue growing, Bradley assists in offering our customers a "Like It Never Even Happened" experience.

Briannah is a new Restoration Technician with Team Northen/Maddux. After spending time in the SERVPRO franchise in 2019, she returned with a desire to learn and serve once again. When she is not out with our crews, you can find her spending time with her family or inching towards her bucket list trip to Italy,

Jorge is a Restoration Technician that has served with Team Northen/Maddux for 4 months. He came into our team with a bilingual advantage and training in construction as well. When he is not working with our crews, he is home with family and helping out with his uncles car dealership. With goals to buy a new house, Jorge is motivated to serve our community with the SERVPRO standard.

Savanah is in our Accounts Receivable department and has been with Team Northen/Maddux for over 2 years. She is skilled in Quickbooks, and she is known for helping out all department when needed. When she is not working, Savanah likes to fish, hang out with friends and planning to buy her first home.

Sean Place is a Restoration Supervisor at SERVPRO with 2–3 months of experience and advanced expertise in restoration and safety compliance. He holds multiple certifications, including WRT, AMRT, Lead Supervisor (Colorado), and Asbestos Supervisor (Colorado), equipping him to oversee projects with precision and regulatory compliance. Outside of work, Sean enjoys spending time with his family, hitting the golf course, mountain biking, and bowling, bringing the same energy and dedication to his hobbies as he does to his role.

Starr Phipps has been with SERVPRO since January 30, 2022, serving as a Job File Coordinator. She holds a WRT certification, which enables her to manage project files with precision and ensure restoration jobs are properly documented. Starr approaches every task with dedication and optimism, living by her favorite quote: “A star can’t shine without darkness,” a reminder to stay resilient and shine through challenges.

Brittany Narey has been with SERVPRO for 1 year, serving as a Customer Experience Specialist for Team Northen / Maddux. In her role, she is dedicated to providing excellent support and ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and professional. At the top of Brittany’s bucket list is to travel the USA in an RV, exploring new places and making unforgettable memories along the way.

Raegen Carey is an Administrator at SERVPRO, bringing nearly five years of experience with the company, including four years of office and administrative support in restoration services. She holds certifications in WRT and IICRC, equipping her with both the technical knowledge and organizational expertise to support the team’s operations effectively.

With strong office and personnel skills, Raegen plays a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day functions. Outside of work, she enjoys spending her free time being a mom. At the top of her bucket list is the goal to buy a house, reflecting her dedication to building a strong foundation for her family. She is guided by her favorite quote: “There is no place like home.”
