Since fire and smoke damage are completely different, everyone needs a specific solution tailor-made for their unique circumstances. In case you didn't know, as different materials burn, soot and residue are left behind.

Plus, the damage they cause varies greatly, requiring complex techniques for cleaning. That is why the steps mentioned below are intended to illustrate our regular fire damage restoration procedure.

We will then make sure we dry your property as thoroughly as we can. This is accomplished by using our state-of-the-art equipment, which includes:

• Pumps
• Vacuums

Also, we use moisture control equipment to measure, record, and complete the drying process throughout the restoration of your business or home property.

Why is this so important to us?

Our purpose is this: "to ensure that your property is safe, healthy, and dry."

Because each water and flood damage scenario is radically different, each involves a new approach tailored to your unique circumstances. But here is the thing - the water restoration process remains the same.

To see our restoration process for the typical water-damaged house, take a look at the steps below:

• Step 1: Emergency Contact
• Step 2: Inspection and Damage Assessment
• Step 3: Water Removal/Water Extraction
• Step 4: Drying and Dehumidification
• Step 5: Cleaning and Repair
• Step 6: Restoration

Our Mold Damage Services

A mold infestation can occur quickly when a home suffers from water damage. In as little as 48 to 72 hours, this can lead to a spread around your house. Since mold may generate health effects, to correctly resolve your mold infestation, you need a pro who has the expertise and training.

Do you suspect that there is a mold problem with your Glastonbury or Wethersfield company or home?

If that is the case, then your property can be reviewed, assessed, and remediated by SERVPRO of Glastonbury/Wethersfield.

Here is the deal - both indoors and outdoors, microscopic mold spores will grow. It makes it almost difficult to remove any mold from a company or house.

In fact, some restoration companies promote "mold removal" and even go so far as to ensure that all mold is removed. This is a complete fallacy, however.

Take a second to consider the following facts:

• There is mold almost everywhere, indoors and outdoors.
• Mold spores are microscopic and float in the air and can enter your home or even touch your clothes or a pet indoors through windows, doors, AC systems.
• Mold spores rely on moisture. Mold spores can rapidly grow into colonies when exposed to water. These colonies may produce health effects.
• Before we begin mold remediation, all water or moisture sources must be treated first. Otherwise, the mold can return.
• Mold also causes a thick, musty odor that can lead you to places with possible mold issues.
• Even high indoor humidity can support mold growth. Keep the interior humidity below 45 percent.

Each mold damage situation is different and requires a particular solution, but our general mold remediation approach remains the same.

Our standard approach is illustrated by the steps listed below:

• Inspection and Mold Damage Assessment
• Mold Containment
• Air Filtration
• Removing Mold and Mold-Infested Materials
• Cleaning Contents and Belongings
• Restoration
