On the evening of January 10, 2017, I stepped into our upstairs guest room and discovered the carpet was soaked. Our contractor suggested we call SERVPRO because he had heard they were a good company. We called our insurance company the next morning and filed our claim. The insurance provider said that they had worked with SERVPRO and found them to be an excellent company.
We immediately called and spoke with Kimber of SERVPRO, who was heading the storm disaster effort in Boise. She said that SERVPRO crews were on their way to Boise, but couldn't arrive at our home until the following Wednesday, the 18th. Meanwhile, our contractor helped us roll the carpet up in our guest room and tear out the pad. He brought a commercial fan in to dry the floor.
Matthew Valdez, General Manager, and Troy Simons, Production Manager, arrived Wednesday as promised. They were professional and caring and explained what they would be doing. The damage in our home was far more extensive than we imagined.
They kept us informed every step of the way, taking time to answer our questions and address our concerns. They were careful with our possessions as they moved furniture and items that were in the way. When they left our home for a few days while our walls and floors were drying, they reattached our washer and dryer so that I could do laundry.
They and their team were incredibly polite and kind with us and each other. They performed an amazing amount of work in the times they were here. We can't thank them enough for all that they did for us. We will definitely recommend SERVPRO to anyone who needs their services.
We are really going to miss working with Kimber. She was excellent. When our insurance company would not respond, she advocated for us and worked hard to make sure we were able to get help. Thank you so much, Kimber!
