I experienced what I thought to be minor water damage to my floors/carpet when our laundry sink overflowed for a short period of about 10-15 minutes. After mopping/vacuuming evident water, I noticed that water was continuously appearing from behind the baseboards after repeated toweling. I then decided to put forth a claim to my insurance carrier, who promptly recommended that I call a water mitigation company to investigate the extent of the water damage and to dry out any remaining water. From a list of companies, I chose for no particular reason, SERVPRO. Even though it was afterhours, a SERVPRO crew arrived 2 hours later. They immediately assessed the situation, began to remove baseboard, tear out carpeting, and situate high-powered fans in strategic areas to dry out remaining water. After doing all they can, they left but returned with another crew promptly the following morning. They further investigated with a water/moisture detecting tool and discovered the presence of more water which had migrated to hallways, behind cabinets, hallways, and other rooms. I was surprised by the extent of the damage. After removing more baseboards, carpets, and cabinets, they brought in more fans and left them on continuously for 6 days, after which the drying had been complete. I was very impressed by SERVPRO's promptness, concern for our welfare, courtesy, and professionalism. They knew what they're doing and kept in mind our stressful state of mind as they carried out their business. I would use their services again should another like-situation arise and recommend their services to others in need.
SERVPRO was super responsive, very fast, and reasonably priced. When dealing with water damage, you want a company to partner with you and work to address the issues quickly and thoroughly. SERVPRO was great.
So my home flooded overnight and I had to immediately relocate. My life was in shambles and I felt helpless. Then came SERVPRO to the rescue. They came the following day and packed up all of my belongings, moved it out, stored it, and then moved it into my new place! Jen, the manager, was absolutely wonderful. She was kind, honest, and answered all of my questions promptly. The rest of the crew worked hard and always had a smile on their face. Why me? I had no idea this type of company even existed! I happen to come home from lunch and found water all over the place. I was freaked out!
